What did you think of the finale? Honestly was a let down once more since it was more of a cop out in the end more than anything, but meh. Really thought we'd see a few more deaths of regulars, but I guess they blew their load last season with the first attack. You knew half the redshirts with guns on the prison side would be fodder, but really was disappointed not to hit hard like the end of "No One Is Safe" arc. No guts no glory AMC.

This show is WEAK at its best. The season started off strong (like it does every season) and has divulged into an inconsistent mess of plot holes, nonsense, and mind numbingly unrealistic. None of this episode made any sense and I am so THANKFUL that the governor garbage is over. Please never refer to and look back at this crap ever again.
The main problem with this show is that the writers expect us to feel something for these characters when they spend all their time making the show about how everything affects Rick Grimes and spend zero time giving the supporting cast depth. I could careless about all the dead kids and old people (who have suddenly all become crack sharp shooters that hit the head every time). Goodbye Rick's father figure, goodbye Shane's bastard, goodbye poorly written and badly portrayed Governor.

It was alright. Could have been a lot worse. In fact, it has been worse before. At least people actually died this time.
I wasn't disappointed because my expectations have been lower than dinosaur bones ever since the season 3 finale and Mazzara.

I have a few minutes....and this one is 'worth' talking about.
They kept loyal to the comic with the tank, the line- "kill them all!", and Rick+Cal escaping on their own. And even though it was Hershel and Michonne this time, being held at sword point, in the comic it was Tyreese and Michonne.
The gun fight was seriously bad 80's gun fight. I didn't watch each actor get shot, but somehow, even though TEAM GRIMES was out numbered by at least double...somehow all of the governor's people died, even though we don't see their 'kill shots'. It's no surprise that all the 'protagonists' get out alive (doing the classic, 'dodge the bullet' maneuver made popular in the 80's). How is it, you can walk (or run hunched over), and that makes you immune to bullets?
Thoughts at random; I like Rick's speech, he did pretty well at offering a very peaceful resolution. The governor said it's not about the past...it's about now. Well if it's not about the past, why are you acting like you're motivated on revenge?
Michonne should have finished the job. Leaving the Governor on the ground to die gave him a chance to survive, when considering some of the bad story writing. GOVERNOR....THIS IS THE SECOND TIME you've gone up against the prison...and you lost both times...WEAK! If Michonne really wanted that revenge, she should have taken a quick moment to start chopping up his body parts (at least his legs) and then leave him there...but then we'd be getting into a much darker story there.
I still don't like the actor they chose for the governor (not the guy...but the acting job). He still doesn't convince me he's the governor.
Carl was so 'gun-ho' to blast away...yet we didn't see him at all until the very end (I thought CARL was going to be the one to shoot the governor)
The Governor + Rick fight was totally lame! TOTALLY lame! The governor looks like he's punching at dough or som'n. His wind up is crap and the impact is crap. He doesn't look like he's trying at all. I'm shocked he over came rick so easily. The Governor could have made it easier on himself and used a knife or som'n.
Truthfully, the only thing I actually liked about this episode (besides the minor 'action' parts, which were kinda weak), was the very end, with Rick and Carl escaping, just like in the comic.
I've kinda had enough of the prison, and I was pretty sure this episode would kill the prison, but now we get to enjoy a few episodes (before the end of the season entirely), of Rick and Carl out in the wilderness, and meeting back up with everyone (just like the end of season 2).
This episode could have been better...but it was too cheezy and predictable. Fighting zombies is fun...fighting other people is lame (all 80's action movies are people fighting other people with guns).

Personally,I think this season has been the strongest so far and Scott Gimple has done very well considering all the shit that has been leftover from Glen "he who shall not be named" Mazara's run on the series.
As for this episode-I really liked it.Wasnt blown away as I thought I would be,but really enjoyed it.I actually cried when Herschel died. There was, however,a few minor niggles
1.Fan Girl Pandering-When Daryl used that Zombie as a human shield and then took out the tank with a grenade, pure pandering to the fan girls and yet another twist of the knife in the wounds of us lot who cant stand it.Did you really think he was gonna get bitten?
2.Judith-Im pretty sure she isnt dead, going by what filming articles i have read Im pretty sure she is safe with Tyreese and the children. However,if she is dead,AMC well and truly pussied out of showing her death and did so in the most get out free way ever-zombies ate her offscreen. Also, why did those children bring her outside in the first place, then leave her to get the guns? Wouldnt the adults have stopped them. This annoyed me more than anything as no one is that complacent when it comes to a baby.
3.The Governor-still dont feel ike he got the death he deserved, mainly being cut apart limb from limb and left as a human nugget for the walkers. However,Im glad his story is over now as the TV series ruined this iconic character.
4.The rat corpse-Still wasnt resolved but I think I know were this is going-Lizzie and Mika will fill Ben and Billys role from the comic.Remember that dead cat he was playing with in the graphic novel? Its a remix of that
Lets all look forward to the second half in February, were we will meet our 3 post prison saviours-Abraham,Eugene and Rosita. That is unless they have seriously been rewrote too!

Daryl was the worst thing about the episode. He single handily ruined the episode for me. Took away all the tension from the fight because we all know by now that he's not going to die. Worst part was when he stopped the tank himself( ?) It would have been tragic and satisfying for his character to have been overwhelmed by the fight and die. I mean, he serves no purpose to the story besides fan service. The dude is so uninteresting. He could have had development with Carol and Merle and instead Carol and Merle had a shitload of character development. Missed opportunities all around. Everything was good or decent in the episode up until Daryl started acting like some cartoon character.

Half expected him to quip "TANKS for the memories" or "Put this in your pipe" when he blew up the tank

I'm not a comic guy really. but when I saw "TWD" on the shelves at the first issue I gave it a shot. The "No One Is Safe" arc really left a mark on me with how hardcore this series was in taking out any character. Just was honestly weak to see them go on in panels, and interviews that no one is safe on the show, but when the biggest bullet point arc hits the show from the comic they gave no shock at all to the viewer. It's true about Daryl though I was waiting for some hammy ass line since he's basically untouchable like Rick at the moment. This season was a step up from last, but christ it is annoying to see this get crapped all over. "Breaking Bad" had no problem bringing some major shock value to the show, and this is a fucking horror series where you can be eaten alive. Grow some balls AMC.

After everything I've seen, I'm fully ready to give up on the show. I've rarely enjoyed it save for a few episodes here and then. I cant get past the weak story, the endless plot holes, and ridiculous moments of Hollywood action. It's "cool" moments of gore have lost their shine and I find myself not caring about the well being of any character, I typically root for all of them to die.
So this shall be my final middle finger send off to the show. I've burned out on the walking dead. All I have left is the comic and I'm slowly burning out on that. For now, this is goodbye to the show.

I LOVED it! lol, I did I thought it was great. I don't know maybe I am a cheesy dude but I really enjoyed this episode. Maybe because my kids were tripping the whole time. My sin screamed and tears rolled out when he noticed baby kickass was gone and my girls were rooting for rick to kill the governor. I can say honestly I have enjoyed this season very thoroughly.

I really enjoyed it. I get the most out of every episode by not comparing it to the comic whatsoever, but that's just me. I just realize that it's pointless to do it. I actually enjoy the show as much as the comic now.

My problem is comparing it to what I consider quality story and programing. I couldn't give a shit about it being the comic, that ship sailed season 1. I just cant get past the lame story telling and ridiculous elements. If I could get past it I would, but too much on this show bothers me
