Looks like the biggest pile of shit I've ever seen. The zombies rip open a 747 while in flight? When did this story become about mutant super zombies. I hate you Brad Pitt. I will never see this movie until it comes to FX for free
PS - I can't believe I wasted my 2000h post on this. I waited all that time

That is a shame. I keep reading great things about it but no one seems to have it. Thanks anyways though. I really don't have my hopes up for the film. In my head I'm just going to call it Zombie Trio: The Movie: Part 1 since it seems to have strayed so far from the book.
I'm crossing my fingers to enjoy this as something completely separate from the book, only time will tell.

It's not the book, It's just a zombie movie. Reminds me of 28 days later, I took my daughter and we both enjoyed it. Nothing to ooohhhh and aaahhh over but it was ok.

Cause that's what a production company wants to hear after spending hundreds of millions of dollars, it was ok.
Glad it wasn't a complete waste of your time Siek

I used to have them...pre computer crash...would love to get a copy of version 1 and 2 again myself...was true to the book. I still have the digital copies you sent me a few years back. I just sent them back to the same email address you used then - if you don't have that account anymore, just let me know what address I should use instead. One good turn deserves another, and all that jazz.

I have no idea what I just watched. That commercial made no sense to me. Speaking about WORLD WAR Z (the book), I gotta say I didn't enjoy it. *allows a moment for the BOO's and the angry screaming to settle down* I listened to the AUDIO BOOK over the course of about 4 days. In the car, while playing video games, in the shower, while getting ready for work etc. I understand the book is written in a journal format. It's supposed to be a book recording the experiences of those who were on the front lines and those who managed to survive. From an army guy to a blind monk dude, to some chick flying in a plane/helicopter which crashes and she's trying to survive in a forest and escape a hoard or som'n like that. I enjoyed different perspectives about how zombies influence war as opposed to human VS human, zombie vs human. They touched on fear, hunger, exhaustion and other things that humans deal with during a war which can make the difference between winning a war and losing a war, and how zombies don't experience those issues, and thus are the perfect weapon. There was another story about a family who were trying to survive in a tent/R.V. kind of 'town' and the things they had to endure to make it. I did the audio book of RISE OF THE GOVERNOR and ROAD TO WOODBURY. What I really liked about both those books is how close up and personal you got with the zombies. There was lots of action and you really felt like you were a fly on the wall experiencing the dangers with the characters. From Brian Blake hiding in the closet with Penny, to settling in with those two girls (who's father died shortly after we met them), and Phillip sorta sexually assaulted the one, then holding up in the farm house where things REALLY get intense up to when they finally get to Woodbury. Then in ROAD TO WOODBURY opening up with the attack on the TENT TOWN, then the little group gets banished from tent town and they travel about trying to survive. They hold up in a gas station, then in a walmart, then meet martinez and find themselves at woodbury where we slowly see it start taking shape to become what we see in the comics. What I enjoyed about RISE OF THE GOVERNOR and ROAD TO WOODBURY was how realistic it felt. How realistic the characters felt (the narrator did voices for all the characters which was pretty impressive). WORLD WAR Z also had different actors for the characters...but it all felt like it was done and over. Now you're just getting the story of "what happened". It's almost like you get the "who did it" of a murder mystery, and spend the rest of the story learning "how". You already know every character survived, because they're telling you their story. Some of their stories were difficult to follow, while others' were half decent. I did the book because I was hoping I could get a better idea of what the movie was going to be about (everyone always says, "read the book before watching the movie") hunger games, lord of the rings etc. So I did...but over all, I can clearly see where the differences are with the book and movie. I know many of you are very loyal to the book, and I certainly don't want to offend any of you or pee in your cereal (though some of you may actually be into that)...I feel sad to say I didn't really enjoy the book. I feel bad because you guys keep hyping it up, so I was really excited to get a good zombie story. But for me, it kinda fell short. I hope the movie is better. I already have a small list of things I don't like about their version of zombies. Zombies shouldn't act like ants (being organized, behaving like flood waters, climbing on each other to build 'zombie structures'. It's kinda weak. But...here's hoping it isn't that bad.
